Banquet for the elderly
The Banquet Ministry is our way of reaching out to the elderly in our community. There are nearly 30 individuals that we have spent the last couple years investing in. Twice a month we prepare a hot meal and deliver them, taking time to pray and visit, all with the purpose of sharing the love of God with each person. It is amazing to see how friendships have developed where they are least expected as grandchildren and great-grandchildren are now serving and praying for their abuelitos or neighbors who have live side by side for years now enjoy a beautiful fellowship. In addition to these visits, we also serve our elderly friends as needed in cleaning up lawns, digging drainage ditches, and doing small construction projects. About twice a year we plan a party where we bring them all to us for a special time of fellowship. It has been amazing to hear their testimonies about how these visits have blessed them profoundly, most say that we are the only visitors they ever receive.
